Septuagint

My Septuagint just got in the mail today, so if I need any help, I'll be coming here. Expect some wild translations from yours truly.

I just received my Septuagint in the mail too. I bought it mostly to reference OT quotations in the NT. I look forward to hearing about some of your discoveries.

Does anyone study the influence of the LXX on NT words and phrases? Isaiah in particular?

Well, that is one of my particular interests, and one reason why I ordered the Septuagint. Check out my forum for more details, although as of now I'm fairly lacking in LXX arguments (have a couple...). I've only realy argued for its validity against the MT due to MSS found at the DSS site. All quite fascinating!
