Church Fathers and early extra-biblical writings?

Post by John L »

I have talked to a friend who has a Greek NT with some of the apostolic fathers combined. I was curious if there are any of you who know how to purchase such a text? Or even just some of the Greek Fathers and early writings without the Greek NT. I am looking for these in Greek. And if there are textual variants for them that would even be that much greater! Thanks! John Litteral litteral@dragg.net

I don't know where you can get a hard copy but you might like this site until you do find one.

Hi John,

You may find what you are looking for at this address : http://www.editionsducerf.fr/ . It's the French editor for all patristic, biblical, theological etc. books both in Ancient Greek (scientific editions with aparatus) and translation (French probably most of the time if not only) and commetaries of all these.
I don't know if they deliver abroad, but you can order from Alapage.com : http://www.alapage.com/mx/?tp=L&type=1& ... iteur=cerf (link on the editor's web page).

bilingual English-Greek church fathers

Post by wutka »

I found some writings of church fathers at Elpenor's Home of the Greek Word
It includes some writings of Origen, Ignatius, Gregory of Nyssa, Symeon and others. It also includes earlier greeks like Homer, Plato, Aristotle, etc.

Also, LATO (Library of Ancient Texts Online) has a lot of good stuff, although the church fathers seem to be grouped into a single "Church Fathers" category and all the links lead to translated works.

The Christian Classics Ethereal Library has a large repository of the Early Church Father's writings (in English) as well as a number of other resources in both English and Greek (e.g. the Septuagint).
David.
