Hello all,<br /> I've little question that I can't find the answer to, is a)gapw a compound verb a)po+ a)gw or a full verb in its own right?<br />Or put more simply where does the epsilon augment fir in?<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Paul

Simple contract verb, [face=SPIonic]a)gapa/w[/face].<br /><br />Aorist would be [face=SPIonic]h)ga/phsa[/face]. So this uses the so-called "temporal" augment, not the epsilon.

Thank you very much William,<br /><br />For anybody else working through the JACT course this could be a glitch of which to be aware... I couldn't find that fact anywhere.<br />I had considered all the permutations, none that I could prove from the given texts, I may well have missed something though :o)<br /><br />Paul McK
