Χαίρετε,

I need a second opinion on something please.
προσθε δε ων εμοιγε δοκεει ουδε το Πελασγικον εθνος, εον βαρβαρον, ουδαμα μεγαλως αυξηθηναι
Please provide a free and a proper translation on this. I need YOUR translation, I need YOUR opinions. Thank you.

hi pangnosis, what opinions would you like? this sentence looks quite straightforward. it's ionic: you can tell by the words e.g. "before", "it seems", "being". they're not attic spelling.

"and so it seems to me that the pelasgic people before, being barbarian, didn't greatly increase" in normal english, although the infinitive is in the passive, e.g. "wasn't/weren't greatly increased".

are there any specific words you want an opinion on? :)
