χαίρετε, πᾶσιν οἱ κοινονοί!
Do any of you who teach Greek communicatively, or who are self-learners using that approach, know of any ancient sources for animal sounds/noises vocabulary? I seem to recall that there are a few Biblical passages that mention a lion roaring, dog barking, etc. (although I don't remember where they are), Surely there are also other ancient sources for these and other animal sounds.
Ideas would be appreciated. Especially if anybody has some ready-made lists (preferably with ancient sources credited).
