koine text with English order of cases

Post by lonsdale »

Can anyone tell me which Koine textbook(s) uses(s) the English order of cases: nom, abl, acc, gen, dat, voc? I got used to it from the Oxford Latin course.

Thanks

The abl(ative) is the same as the genitive in Greek. Older books sometimes have 8 cases, the Genitive-Ablative being the same form and the Dative-Instrumental-Locative a single form (with three listings). AT Robertson's Grammar used this approach.

Nominative
Ablative
Genitive
Dative
Instrumental
Locative
Accusative
Vocative.

Almost all American texts use the order

Nominative
Genitive
Dative
Accusative
Vocative

The British use the order below; the neuter and identical forms, such as feminine 1st declension vocative and

Nominative
Vocative
Accusative
Genitive
Dative

Thanks.

It's the British approach that I want, then. Can you suggest any specific titles?
