Hi,

In the categories of verbs at the end of the vocab...

should it also include a category of verbs pertaining to wishing & hoping?

I see that spero is included under the "thinking" category.

And as for the verbs about wishing or desiring, it occured to me that in English, they are not followed by clauses of the same type. You say, "I think that he will come" but "I wish that he would come."

The "would" makes me think that it's something different. Perhaps connected to this mysterious subjunctive mood that I've heard so much about (only 3 chapters away, now!)

The normal construciton after cupio or volo is an infinitive, but these do not introduce indirect discourse.
