Ch. 5 question

Postby EmptyMan » Wed Nov 03, 2004 9:13 pm

On #6 Practice and Review it brings a word that I can not find the meaning for; manebant. I looked in the dictionary and previous chapters but could not find this word. What page can I find its definition, or, do any of you know what it means. Couls it be a typo for monebant?

maneo, manere, mansi, mansum = to remain.

Manebant is of course the 3rd person plural imperfect. They used to remain.

There's an online dictionary somewhere near this page. Look around under the tools index.

Thanks for the definition and site. I wonder why they put that in there without telling me what it meant.

maneo is introduced in chapter 5 ;) You might have missed it since they put it together with the entry for remaneo.
