In the outermost part of the forest had (erant, not errant) been placed.
2. In barborum aedificiis maior copia frumenti reperta est.
In the buildings of the barbarians (barbarorum, not barborum), a rather large supply of corn was discovered.
3. Laboribus confectis, milites a Caesare quaerebant ut sibi praemia daret.
With the work having been completed, the soldiers were being sought (quaerebantur, not quaerebant) by Caesar so that he may give them rewards.

BTW - how are you learning Latin?

I took a Latin I class at my community college for transfer credits, but my college only offers Latin II online so I have been teaching myself Latin II which is almost impossible. I have a C in the class but I've been spending way too much time with this course and I really have not learned anything in this class.

I'm not understanding the nature of your problems. I think if you really thought about your translations, looked at each word to make sure you were translating it right, you wouldn't make some of the mistakes you were making.

Have you memorized all the forms? Do some forms elude you yet?
