TABULA UNDECIMA

Thinking, having an idea or opinion. Sentire, sententiam agitare.

What is your plan? Quid tibi consilii est? Τί σοί ἐστιν ἐνθύμιον;

This is my intention, purpose. Mea sic est ratio.

He sticks to his idea. Hoc ejus animo insidet.

This is a matter to take into consideration. Consilii res est. Res ista habet deliberationem.

What do you think, what's your opinion about that? Quid sentis? Τίνα γνώμην ἔχεις;

But what is your opinion? Tu vero quid sentis? Σὺ δὲ τί φρονεῖς;

So, what do you think about this? Age vero (agedum), quid sentis? Ἄγε, τί νομίζεις;

Is that your opinion? Siccine tua est sententia? Οὕτω γνώμην ἔχεις;

What advice can you give to me? Quid mihi auctor es? Quid mihi suades? Τί συμβουλεύεις μοι; Τί μοι εἰσηγῇ;

Don’t think of that problem (any more). Evoca animum ab his negotiis.

Think carefully about that. Cogitationem illam toto pectore amplectare.

Consider this for a moment. Id tantisper cogita.

That’s your opinion. Ita censes (sentis). Tibi ita videtur.

In my opinion, to my mind. Mea quidem sententia. Quantum ego auguror. Ut mea fert opinio.

We are of the same opinion. Nostri sensus congruunt.

I agree with you. Tibi assentio. Tecum sentio. Eo in tuam sententiam. Tuae sententiae faveo.

I don’t agree with Francis. Nec Francisco accedo.

Consider my opinion to be the same as Francis’ one. Join my opinion to Francis’ one. A(d)scribe me sententiae Francisci.

Their opinions went apart. They were of different opinions (one from another). Abierunt in diversas sententias. Distracti sunt (in diversas...).

Their opinions are the same. They agree. Sententiae constant. Ad unum idem sentiunt omnes.

They opinions are opposite. Tendunt in diversum sententiae.

Think it over (through), please. Considerate cum animis vestris, velim.

I think of it all day and night long. Cura haec apud me excubat.

I will think about that very carefully. De hoc valde videro.

It happened to me when least expected. Id nec opinanti (mihi) accidit. Id praeter opinionem accidit.

You remind me about my duty. Me admones offici mei.

Didn’t he tell you anything about his purpose? Nihilne impertiit tibi sui consilii? Ἆρ’ οὐδὲν τοῦ ἑαυτοῦ βουλεύματός σοι ἐκοινώνησε;
