I'm living quite away from any college or univ. and there's no book-binding shop in the vicinity. So I usually come up binding the printed papers myself.

I tried several methods, stapling, stitching(with thin electrical wires), punch and ring, using adhesives(pale-wellow stinking cenent, or less stinking epoxy, etc), repkover-like covers, etc. I started this ever since I got an old paperback RSV bible of which the cover was ragged -- I removed the old ...

Homeschooling (from Third Declension)

Continued from Third Declension, Learning Latin Forum...

Yes, I live in Alabama, America. Homeschooling is becoming more common now, but when I started, it was still outside of what normal, acceptable people did. Comma vs. period (was: thorough Greek grammar)

The Netherlands, actually. It has been some time, but the Dutch state originated from a war against the Spanish.
I think continental Europe uses a comma instead of a period in this context.

Ptolemaios

Books online

Since this wonderful site hosts so many good scanned books, I believe that their downloading size becomes an issue for some people. However, choosen format, PDF, curently is not very appropriative for such goals. As I see it, PDF is designed as a mainly vector format to store computer-generated material, as opposed to the scanned material.

Today, there exist a great new (relatively) digital format designed especially for storing scanned material in digital form ...

Supporting Textkit

There have been so many great textbook recommendations made on this forum that it has become clear to me that visitors are in need of helpful book suggestions in addition to free downloads and a very unique and growing learning community.

Textkit is always in need of non-intrusive ways of generating revenue (we currently have none) to help off-set our staggering operating expenses.

So it occurred to me that perhaps an affiliate relationship ...

Hi, all!

Hi!

I'm Myungsunn, from Korea. Recently joined the forum. I'm self-tutoring greek in a really slow progress. From time to time when I get leisure and when I feel like. I'm also interested in other old languages that will lead me to the ancient cultures, when people began to create from nothing. But I'm no dedicated student of humanties. It's like my hobby to learn the old tongues.

----

I'm currently editing ...
