Machen New Testament Greek for Beginners Group beginning Aug

To One And All--
A friend of mine and myself are starting a new beginners' Greek group that will follow J. Gresham Machen's, New Testament Greek for Beginners. I have the second edition of this work but my colleague, Kat Doe, has both the first and second editions. There is a photostatic copy of this book available online, which would prove useful, as this old edition I have cost me $50. Kat or myself might ...

Abbott's "Johannine Grammar" on Google Books

I know that Google Books isn't the most convenient way to view a book, nor are the books available in one area always available elsewhere (different countries' copyright rules, I assume), but in the U.S. at least, you can now read the 1906 Johannine Grammar by Edwin A. Abbott.

Since I'm fairly ignorant of NT/Koine studies, I asked around first before posting this. I gather Abbott is still a respected authority.

Now, I ...

Who can help me by saying to me which version of the Bible in Greek is nowadays used by the Greek Orthodox Church, by the Greek Roman-Catholic Church and by the Greek Greek-Catholic Church?

several Q's

1. In my study of Greek I have run across several comments concerning the importance of hearing the language(or any other language for that matter). They usually accompany further comments about accessing other parts of the brain for memory, language being primarily spoken and heard. This is in contrast to the way I have approached learning Greek so far; in a silent, cookbook, formulaic manner like a math or physics text. I would be interested ...

Parsing Tools

Other than using the bundled software that comes with Mounce's textbook, are there any other parsing programs that are available for download? I heard that on David Alan Black's website, there was a link to one, but I couldn't find it. Any and all help is appreciated!
