News of First Greek Book - White

Here is a no-frills Vocabulary Flashcard Drill for White's First Greek Book that I wanted to do 3 years ago but got sidetracked. More to follow as I go through the lessons again up to where I left off previously and then as I complete new lessons. Is there a difference between these two words? The Homeric textbook used κλαγγή but FGB is starting us out with κραυγή for apparently the same meaning. Is it basically the same?

In the beginning of Athenaze we are told that Dikaiopolis lives ἐν τοῖς ἀγροῖς (cf. the very first reading: οἰκεῖ δὲ ὁ Δικαιόπολις... ἐν τοῖς ἀγροῖς ). The gloss reads "in the country (lit., in the fields)."

We find in §41 of FGB that ἐν τῇ χώρᾳ οἰκίαι ἦσαν (exercise #8).

My question is whether or not there is a difference in meaning between these two expressions, or are they synonymous to the point ...

PARA 258. έν τῆ ὑπεÏ￾βολῆ τῆ είς το\ν πεδι/ον
PARA 267. οἱ αá½￾το\ν τε ε/βαλλον και\ τα\ ὑτοζυ/για τα\ á¼￾κει/νου

I can't understand the function of the articles repeated after the substantives (bold text)..can anyone help me please?thank

I am working through White's First Greek Book, and I have a problem. In Lesson VII, "Imperfect Indicative Active," the paradigm for this tense indicates that the suffix -ον plus the prefix ε serves to signal both the 3rd and 1st person. For each example, it gives the same conjugation for each verb in these cases. Same with the dual 2nd and 3rd person in the present indicative active: both have the suffix -ετον.

As you may have noticed when you began your First Greek Book studies here at Textkit, the available answer key only goes up to exercise 71 and does not include any of the English to Greek exercises. While I appreciate this resource I feel that if the answer key was completed in its entirely (and who doesn't love using unicode?) then the result would benefit everyone!

I am looking for a good text that offers intense study of accents. I have two books I am working with: Athenaze, which glosses over them, basically. And Fordham press "Intensive Course" which covers them, but there is no answer key to see if I am doing it right.

Does anyone know of a text that has the answer key, is very intense and loaded with exercises and explanation?
